Sometimes a reboot tends to fix issues like that for one reason or another.
Usually, when I have lagging with apps opening or VO oddities, I always reboot
as my first “fix” to attempt.

You ask a good question.
I wasn't sure when I last rebooted as I am from the old
school in unix which says that you only reboot when you have to
such as system maintenance or if there is some problem, etc.
I once had a FreeBSD system at work stay up for 1500 days
without a reboot so I usually let them run until there is a
problem or, in the case of the Mac, an update makes it necessary
to restart.
This particular system has presently been up for almost
twelve days according to the output from uptime.
Thanks.

I don?t think I?ve seen this here. I use key echo and have not************
experienced this. Do you reboot the system often enough?
