Hi Dan,

Daniel compact is exactly what it says on the tin, a compact voice for reducing
the amount of resources used to handle the voice file. I've noticed Daniel
compact in iOS 6 being rather flaky at times and not happy. can't use the full
hq voice because it will literally kill off what processes I have on the 3GS.

For a hearing impaired user like yourself, the iphone can use a "loop set"
which, if that's any help to you would be a good thing, so don't feel that you
have to rely purely on the iphone 5 speaker.

from the specifications I have access to, the speaker fitted on the 5S and 5C
is different to that of the older models. it's actually clearer but in terms of
tonality, 3 frequency bands have changed slightly.

remember that you have the voiceover rotor to use for volume adjustments, etc
but also the sound setup in settings to tweak. hearing settings should be more
inproved with the use of "Mono Audio but I don't have experience in that field
to directly report on it. I am blind only but I have the iphone loud in the
workshop, especially when a moulder, saw or profiling equipment's on. Have
thought of an amp source for the phone and hands free answering lol.

I won't be getting my hands on an iphone 5S until Christmas because I have
equipment still to pay off and work coming in that's not paying it's best but
hey, it's work to do. better that way when single lol.
