Actually it did. I had a friend who fan a 3gs and it lagged like mud. Mine never has as I have an iphone 4 and my friends never ever lags and he has a 4s. so yeah it can make a big difference. and one day apps and builds will quit supporting the 3gs. I dunno when though.
