Hi All,
I am a fairly new member to this group. I have recently purchased a MacBook
Pro with the Touch Bar at the top of the keyboard. My question is, can you
actually disable the Touch Bar? As I keep touching the mute feature and I
can’t really see to unmute it. So does anyone have any suggestions. I have to
be very careful I know as you only have to slightly touch it. Apart from that,
the Touch Bar can be very useful.

Seems about as good as we can make it <smile>

you can set up certain actions in the mailbox’s of accounts under mail
preferences on the mailbox tab
also,you can set junk mailbox to delete items when you close the apple mail
app

within the mail app itself. Also, if your arrow keys were behaving that
way, it sounds like you didn’t have the roofer set to navigation. Once

Apple Mail is actually very easy to manage. As long as you under stand
the mailbox list, message table and the message content area, you can use
keyboard commands to easily navigate back and forth. If you get lost,
command-1 will always put the focus back on the unified inbox. If you use
the favorites bar, you can even customize specific mailboxes you want easy
access to. Overall, it’s like anything else on the Mac or PC. If you take
the time to learn it and use it, you can make it work however you need it.
I find Apple Mail far more enjoyable and easier to use than Outlook or
Windows Mail for a variety of reasons. My only complaint about Apple Mail
was the removal of being able to block senders and the receipt option.

I had this happen when I got this computer back from them putting a new
keyboard into it. What I did was go over to the View window by pressing
VO and the right arrow. Then when I got there I down arrowed and found it
saying something like find a different view. When I Vo spaced on that it
took me to where the messages happen to be.
But I don't like Apple Mail it doesn't need to be as involved as it is.

If he’s using VoiceOver, try pressing command-1 and see if the focus
goes to the inbox in mail. It’s odd that it would open with no windows
