I need to post a message in a web forum that I access on a Mac
and I am not sure what the formatting looks like. If I compose
the message on a Linux system, I know what it looks like and I
have the bonus of saving the spell checking until last rather
than dealing with autocorrect's constant chatter which is
distracting while typing.
If I copy the ASCII text file from the Linux system to
the Mac and then use text edit to copy it into the clipboard, will
the format most likely be preserved when i paste it in to the
body of the message?
It is nothing complicated, just paragraphs.
Is there a better way to include a text file when one
reaches the prompt to type something?
To tell the truth, the web site I must post to is
uncomfortable to use and the less interaction with it, the
better. even reading messages is confusing and a total hit and
miss operation, more miss than hit if you are trying to follow a
particular thread.
All I want here is for normal text to be seen by the
folks reading their messages.
