Hi Martin,
My guess is it should keep the formatting. If you are filling in the form on
the web, you can turn off the auto correct from the edit menu. You can also
check the formatting at any time by way of the VO-t command to see what the
current attributes are.

uncomfortable to use and the less interaction with it, the
better. even reading messages is confusing and a total hit and
miss operation, more miss than hit if you are trying to follow a
particular thread.
All I want here is for normal text to be seen by the
folks reading their messages.
