Hi.
I decided to write on this subject with a separate message from the original
discussion so as not to confuse the 2 subjects.
A list member commented on the wonderful sound coming from his new MacBook Air,
I don’t have a MacBook Air but I do have a Late 2019 model of MacBook Pro and
the sound? Well its the best sound I’ve heard out of any Notebook I’ve owned.
I did own a 2015 MacBook Pro with excellent sound but nothing quite as
outstanding as what can be heard on the MacBook Pro.
The model I have now is the 15-inch model with speakers on each side of the
keyboard facing up so the sound is projected upwards from either side of the
computer top.
Slots on the opposite bottom sides project bass but of course this means that
you sacrifice a full keyboard with numeric keypad, the sort of arrangement one
might find on a 15-inch Windows PC but I’ll take the better sound quality any
day thanks very much <smile>
The point I’m making here is that if the sound is good on my MacBook Pro then
yes, I can imagine that Apple wouldn’t let the sound down with bad sounding
speakers on a MacBook Air, whether you’re using an iMac, MacBook Pro or Air you
will certainly enjoy what can be best described as Apple Signature sound.
The worst sounding Notebook I’ve ever used was a Dell Latitude E550 with
speakers on the bottom of the computer facing downward, obviously the idea
being to reflect the sound off the desktop.
