You might want to look at the settings when you have your Air Pods
connected. I believe there is an option to control how SIRi is handled.

Running IOS 11 with an iPhone 8, is there anyway I can stop Siri from
launching when using headphones?
What will happen is that I'll pause a podcast audiobook etc and when I
press play on the apple ear pods to start listening again, you hear the
audible tone for Siri. If possible, am I able to change this behavior, so
that it doesn't happen using apple ear pods.
