You might want to look at the settings when you have your Air Pods
connected. I believe there is an option to control how SIRi is handled.

I'm still getting her even if I just tap the play button and screen is

Does anyone else experience this?

Just tap on the play pass button do not push on it to do the sound request
when you press and hold it is like holding the home button and then you get
her

Subject: [mac4theblind] Stopping Siri using headphones
Hi all
Running IOS 11 with an iPhone 8, is there anyway I can stop Siri from
launching when using headphones?
What will happen is that I'll pause a podcast audiobook etc and when I
press play on the apple ear pods to start listening again, you hear the
audible tone for Siri. If possible, am I able to change this behavior, so
that it doesn't happen using apple ear pods.
Regards
