MP4 is a video container which means the container may include various forms
of encoding so just because IOS recognises a file container doesn't mean
that IOS will automatically decode and play the content within., Apple IOS
is a right pain in the but like that so this is why I recommend a third
party App such as VLC to pick off where IOS leaves off.
