There’s got to be a way to do this. I tried googling and no I’m not going to read all of these particular files in nano. No no no! But yeah it seels like what I’m tryign to do is not possible. I can’t like I said change the file tipe and I don’t want to log onto my windows machine just to modify the files.

The plot thickens.

I haven't used that one much either. I have it from a software bundle I bought a few years ago, but never really put it through the paces as of yet.

Hey to all, what is the status of the search for a text editor that teeats line breaks as line breaks. Remember the example I gave on my dropbox. Thanks.

Have you tried the option-enter for hard line breaks? That might work for other word processors.

Hello to all I love text edit, however when Im’ reading a text file in windows the line brakes I put there do not get treated as line brakes . In fact they either disappear or they are not visible. I know what causes this to happen, but I do not want to change the text files to rtf files to read them under windows. I am actually not aloud to. mac text editor that will preserve the line brakes in unicode and I can edit the text files for everybody and it can come out correctly under windows?
