OK, ultimately, the mike should work out of the box, but here's what you can do:
When you're in the main skype window, go to the top of the screen, and interact with your tool bar. All the way at the far right corner, there is a search box. I think it may be like, one vo+oeft arrow from the far right edgte of the toolbar. If in the search box, you type
echo123then hit return, it should filter your contacts with just that one which would be echo123. So if you go down to the bottom of the skype window, obviously, stop interacting first with the toolbar. You then should get a table you can interact with. Actually, techynically, you really probably don't even have to interact with it, although I would, as then you can find echo in the list, and bring up your context menu with vo+shift+M. Remember vo+M is your menu bar, but vo+shift! +M is kind of like hitting the applications key or shift F10, if you will, in windows. Basically it brings up your context menu. In here you should be able to vo+down arrow to the call option, then hit vo+space to call.
Another thing is, if echo123 is not in your contact list already, then after you stop interacting with the toolbar, if you vo+right, you should eventually hear no results, then if you keep hitting vo+right, you'll see two buttons you can vo+space on. One of them will let you add it to your contacts, and another will just let you manually call it.
