Hi Dough,
Simply double tap and hold I believe it is until you her the state change from
double tap to open to double tap to delete or hold and drag to move. Double
tap the icon you want to remove and it should prompt you yes or no, click yes
and then press the home button once you’ve deleted what you want. Take care
not to delete other items you want to keep.
