I ended up having to set up the phone as a new one. My carrier is T-Mobile. One
of the issues I had was people were having difficulty understanding me. It
sounded as if I were talking through a straw. When I called T-Mobile's
tech-support, The problem was so bad the technician suggested I set up the
iPhone7 Plus as a new phone, resetting everything in the process. This seem to
have helped. If it had not, T-Mobile wanted to replace the phone. The problem
is, iPhone 7's are on back order. I still can't enable LTE. I'm about to do a
reboot to see if that helps. Strangely enough, when everyone was having
problems after updating T-Mobile's carrier settings, I didn't have a problem at
all, at least not with my iPhone 6s Plus.

So restoring from a backup cross platform like that has never seemed like a
good idea to me. I always start my new iPhone each year with a fresh install
and using the set up as new phone option rather then restoring from a backup.
This way you don’t cary over problems from the previous release or have
compatibility issues.
To enable LTE go to settings, cellular, insure that cellular data is selected
as on then tap cellular options, under there you’ll see LTE which can be
set to voice or data or both or off, set to both voice and data unlesss your
carrier doesn’t support it or you have a compelling reason not to, and then
select back to return to your main settings screen. If you tell me which
carrier you’re on I can tell you more about what to expect while on LTE.
Let me know if you need any other tips for things to set up or optimize
there. And again I might consider setting up as a new device but that’s
your call.
Good luck.

I also have an iPhone question. I am using an iPhone 7+, running the latest
iOS. How do I turn on the equalizer in music settings? Whenever I press the
toggle button, it keeps saying equalizer off. How do I enable LTE? Whenever
I go into the phone settings and try to toggle the button, it says off.
Setting up this phone has been a wild ride! After setting it up using my
latest back up and iTunes, my iPhone 7 Plus acted like a glorified
paperweight! That was just the beginning of my woes!… But I won't go into
the rest of it. At least the iPhone is cooperating now! My wish for all on
this list who intend to get a new iPhone seven is: May the set up process be
a lot more smooth than mine was! Have a great day!

Toward the bottom left of the screen, there should be a place where it says
numbers. If you double tap that, then the numbers should come up.
