You’re right, the jump from 6 to 6s radio wise was pretty important. The 6S
radio was in my opinion a better radio with a better ability to lock on to and
stay connected to the network in low signal conditions as well as supporting
band 12 of course. I need to read about the 7+ more but I’ll be interested to
compare yet again.
You may very well be right in that’s part of the difference.

They did specifically referenced S EE six and 6+, not 6S or 6S plus. Having no
idea what goes into those carrier updates, I wonder if it has something to do
with the radio change between the six and the 6S models in combination with the
25.1 carrier update. Just speculating from a totally uninformed point of view.
It's just sort of coincidental.

I’m running a 6s+ and have not experienced this. I switch in and out of LTE

T-Mobile’s top brass warns some iPhone owners against iOS 10 upgrades

Maybe don’t go upgrading to iOS 10 just yet, T-Mobile customers. The
magenta-drenched uncarrier has taken to social
media<https://twitter.com/TMobile/status/776466023193030657> to warn owners of
the Phone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and iPhone SE against rushing into Apple’s latest
major mobile operating system update after widespread reports of lost network
connections.
Apple is working to resolve the issue with iOS10 for
@TMobile<https://twitter.com/TMobile> customers. Don't download iOS10 if you
currently use an iPhone 5SE, 6 or 6+

Both outspoken CEO John Legere and CTO Neville Ray have issued warnings on
Twitter, noting that Apple is current working to address the issue and expects
to issue a fix within the next 24 to 48 hours.
In the meantime, however, there’s a fairly inelegant work around for the issue,
for those who have already gone ahead and upgraded their OS. Ray suggests that
users manually restart their handset every time a connection is lost.
iPhone 6, 6+ & 5SE customers – Do not download iOS10. We are getting reports of
connectivity issues & Apple is working on a fix.

The carrier will put out word as soon as things are back up and running –
assuming, of course, that users can get online to see it. Meantime, you can
live vicariously through our iOS 10
review<https://techcrunch.com/2016/09/13/ios-10-review/> that went up earlier
this week.
