I am pretty sure there is a syntax that ou can type to specify paths for
files and folders. It’s different than Windows, but in doing some quick Google
search, apparently it is possible. I personally just use the popup menu in the
dialog to save or open files, though I definitely hear you and I used direct
paths when I was saving files.
