Good luck.

I am pretty sure there is a syntax that ou can type to specify paths for
files and folders. It’s different than Windows, but in doing some quick
Google search, apparently it is possible. I personally just use the popup
menu in the dialog to save or open files, though I definitely hear you and I
used direct paths when I was saving files.

In Windows, when I use the “Save As” command, I often use a file
specification to indicate the folder. For example, if I want to save a file
named truck.doc in a folder called misc on the c drive, I’ll type
c:\misc\truck.doc in the filename box in the Save As command.
How can I do a similar thing in Mac OS, that is, specify the path in the
filename to save a file in a particular folder?
Thanks for your help with this!
