Hi andrew, Just open mac app store in your applications folder or in the apple menu, look under featured apps for mavericks, install download and install it. voiceover is available through out the entire install but the first time the system restarts after downloading you’ll need to wait till it finishes booting and launch vo. wen it’s done, your mac will sound the same as it does now but you will then be able to download new free apple apps and find new and mostly interesting things like ibooks and maps. Enjoy! Will it be easy for me to upgrade to mavericks or will I have to go through the procedures previously mentioned on this list. Seems rather complicated for a novice like me!
