Subject: Ben Peterson
I learned from Ben Peterson's wife, Helen McQueeney, that Ben died late last
week. He and Helen were going out for lunch, and he fell and hit his head.
He died a few hours later in the hospital. His brother Jack was with them
at the hospital.
Ben was a dear colleague and friend for many years. We will miss him.
Calling hours for Ben Peterson will be on Friday, November 28, from 3-7 PM
at the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willet Ave, Riverside, RI. See

A service in celebration of Ben's life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday,
November 29, at the funeral home. The obituary is expected to be in the
Thursday Providence Journal.
At the family's request, donations may be made in Ben's name to the Physical
Sciences Department, Rhode Island College Foundation, 600 Mt. Pleasant Ave.,
Providence, RI 02908.
