Hello Colleagues,
Welcome back to the NEACT list!
I thought we should try to get this word out ASAP, so am sending along a
recent communication from Kathy Siok and Jim Cherry.

Jim Cherry, program chair, invites all to please share your inquiry-based
activities:

* * ** * * *
2005 NEACT 67th Summer Conference
August 1 through 4
Central Connecticut State University
New Britain, Connecticut.
³Teaching Chemistry Using Inquiry Approaches².

There will be opportunities for participants to work in the lab and to
design new activities, view demonstrations and discuss units of study. It
is our hope that everyone attending this conference will gain a deeper
understanding of the nature of scientific inquiry and leave with many new
ideas and lab activities.

Since this year¹s conference will focus on teaching and learning, we want it
to be a time to share ideas to make classrooms more exciting and engaging
for our students. We invite each participant to bring favorite inquiry
activities to share. We also invite you to host a poster session or run a
workshop. Please contact Jim Cherry, program chair, as soon as possible if
you want to be involved in some way. (jamesdcherry@xxxxxxxxxxx or
