Hello NEACT.    The Upward Bound Programs at Boston University are seeking 
applications for summer teachers in a number of STEM subjects including 
chemistry.

Summer 2014

Boston University Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math Science are now accepting 
applications for part-time Summer Instructor positions in Science, Mathematics, 
SAT Math and MCAS Math Test Prep, and Computer Science, among other subjects. 
Teachers are responsible for planning and conducting instruction in specified 
subjects. Educational requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, Master's 
preferable, in specific academic discipline or secondary education with 
certification or teaching experience in appropriate content area. Required 
experience: Minimum 1-2 years teaching experience with high school students, 
strong teaching skills, demonstrated understanding of the needs of 
disadvantaged youth, ability to respond to student learning needs with 
innovative ideas and approaches to instruction, and excellent interpersonal 
skills. $23 hourly pay for classroom instruction and prep-time. Summer program 
dates are June 23 to August 1, 2014. A one-evening training will take place the 
week of the June 16.

academic instruction, tutoring, social enrichment and personal support.
