Hoi Florent, An upright is certainly better to ride in Town - you simply see more and it is difficult with a recumbent to "jump" on pavements. In the light of your riding style, there is another downside: you are much more _noticed_ (some would call this an advantage ;-) ): I have experienced more aggresive reactions from automobilist when violating traffic regulations on my recumbent then on an upright. Even the innocent "going right on red" violation is often rewarded by honk of a car!
