The "carpet sprint" thing seems to be pretty much a myth. There have been
three riders on the rollers with three different bikes and when we go off
them, anywhere from 25 kph up to a high of 43 kph (so far), the bikes stop
dead as soon as they hit something that won't spin. The wheels don't have
enough inertia to keep spinning and drag the bike away. In fact, no one has
even gotten to the floor yet as the wheels stop spinning as soon as they hit
the metal rails holding the rollers together.

Rollers are fun! But i am not nearly smooth enough to use them effectively.
Just be careful that you dont' do carpet sprints!
HAHAHAHA!
(carpet sprints are when a rider on rollers slips off the edge and does a
fast burnout into the wall on the carpet!)
