OK I tried to post this before but it bounced because it was too long, what with all the quoting and tooing and froing. Slap my wrists. I have a clean compile! Until Greg digged me in the ribs and made me look further up the output of my build I did not see this message: /bin/sh: bc: command not found bc was not needed for 3.6.x.
