Well, you can start with Asterisk. Itâs the most complete PBX/intercom/VOIP
solution out there. With the addition of a google phone number (as a backup to
the primary POTS line) a couple of spider programs, you can even build âThe
Telemarketerâs Time Wasterâ. That would be a fun project to do as it
combines speech to text, a search engine script and text to speech to create
the illusion of a human interacting with a robo caller.
Also, with Asterisk, you can create a poor mans in office phone system with
built-in mailboxes, an intercom and all those goodies.
So many neat things you can do. I am going to be trying to build myself a
Software defined radio receiver using 2 external dongles and the AirSpy.
Package.
