Sorry Mike, I wasn't implying that you couldn't solve the problem, I was
just thinking that it seems like a lot of folks on the Blinux list are
running Mate and didn't have to jump through any hoops to make it talk
stably. And I certainly have not seen where anyone needed to write
their own code to get speech working in the console. Of course, they are
not working on the PI, but I thought you said you were having trouble on
your other machines as well.
No worries either way. I truly appreciate all the hard work you have put
into all of this. Truly impressive.
