Thank you Mike,
For now I am just doing some research. My plan is to make something like
a speech powered notetaker (like a Braille note, without Braille output,
of course) built with only open source software. I said I am just
researching because I am not sure if it's possible without alot of
hardware and software development. For now everything seems to be
doable, but I just started. I am very interested in this project (if it
could be named a project) because in my country, Mexico, we don't have
any kind of access to this technology. A friend of mine, from Spain, has
a braille notetaker and when I saw it I was so impressed because I could
write in a more efficiently way. so it was one of my first thoughts when
I've got the PI.

Hello Manuel,
Welcome to the list.
It is not always busy on here but it seems to go in bursts. One
question or point tends to spark another.
If you want to share what you are going to be doing with your Pi we will
all be interested.
Mike

Hello everyone,
My name is Manuel Cortez, and I have been using Linux since 2010, at
first I was using mainly gnome, but since 2011 or 12 I started to use
the command line. I bought my first raspberry pi the last november and
I have been tinkering. I plan to do something else with the pi but for
now I am just testing different kind of software, mainly with speakup.
It's very nice to be here and I hope I can learn and help when possible.
Manuel.
