Tomi,
It is possible to mount the partitions of a .img file and then make
changes to the file-system on another Linux machine.
You will need losetup and kpartx to do this.
Then when the file-system inside the .img file is mounted you can:
1. Change the speech-dispatcher config to use alsa instead of pulse.
2. Change pulse to autospawn = no.
Or maybe you could just use a serial console cable to log in at first so
you don't need SSH.

Hello,
i absolutelly don`t understand why all the blind users work via console on
their raspberry machines.
I have installed Ubuntu Mate 16.04 with Orca and it works great.
Only issue i have noticed is that you can`t use pulseaudio, it doesn`t
work properly, not only with orca but also non blind users reported this.
But when you reove pulseaudio, alsa becomes the defauld sound service so
that you are able to hear what Orca sais.
