Pi does have thermal shutdown feature but unless we put an immense load
then it should not happen. In fact I never had this feature kick in so
far.
Could it be power supply problem? Ithink you should check into kernel log to
see what might happened.

Reatempted the connection and it worked, I've seen this behavior over

Pi, is there anyway I can underclock it, to reduce heat, without
impacting performance?
