I need to order a couple of SD cards for my Pi model 3. Mine is a CanaKit which
means it came with case and power supply and a card which contains a load of
stuff but according to Windows it is a FAT 32 formatted card.My understanding
is that cards should be formatted as FAT 16. I am also unclear about the
designations of SD cards. Some questions therefore?
Is there a maximum capacity that the Pi will recognize? Many of the talking
book readers and MP 3 players are limited to 32 GIG capacity of the standard SD
card.
What about class? Presumably class 10 will be fine, is this an issue though?
What is the technical term for the SD card used in the Pi? The cards I have for
my Trekker Breeze are a larger form factor than those in my Olympus but I can't
remember what form is which.
So, to recap, Capacity, Class, Form Factor and formatting.
Doubtless this information is available somewhere but I haven't stumbled on it.
Thanks.
Dale Leavens.
