Hello Gregory.
I use a tool called roadkill's disk imager. it hasn't let me down once 
with any image i've written, unlike other tools. Here's a link to the 
page where you can find more information. I am also attaching a guide i 
wrote on how to write an image using this software step by step. its 
complete for the most part, but if you have any questions please let me 
know. i must get this posted to the wiki... the link is:
