I can confirm that the latest jessie-lite from The Raspberry Pi
Foundation(dated sometime in september of this year) can build,
install, and run Mike's code just fine and the only prerequisite
needed is installing git to download Mike's source code.
I'd offer to share an image I made from my SD card after installing
Mike's code on top of the most recent jessie-lite, but even
compressed, it's 200-some megabytes and I know of no convenient way to
share a file this big. I did try making an image that fits within
Github's 100MB size limit, but even removing things not vital to
having an image that boots, talks, and can install additional
software, I couldn't pull it off.

I'm having a problem booting the raspberry pi.
I can't get either image to boot from the raspberry vi website.
I even tried earphones with it, but couldn't hear anything. I wonder if
it
is booting and the volume is low, or if it even is booting?
Is there a way I can get it to automatically connect to my wifi network so
I
can ssh into it and see what the problem is?
I used the latest win flash tool to flash the card. I also wonder if the
image was not written correctly.
Any suggestions will be helpful.
