I am only half geek on my dad's side, ...
Hello,===========================================================
I am a fat, old blind guy in Alabama, almost deaf now, so I am interested in
braille.
I am only half geek on my dad's side, so probably won't understand all this,
but maybe I can find some gawking points.
For about 20 years I used linux piped to a versabrailler, and that worked
very well.
now I have a braillesense u2 and an ipad which connect to my ubuntu
desktop.
These newer systems are awful in braille because then are tied to a screen.
Brltty jumps around every time new text arrives.
I want a system where my reading is not affected by incoming text.
Oh well, don't let me start.
I read Mario Lang's page about hooking a pi to a braille display which is
stomp-down amazing to me.
I want one, daddy.
