Well, Jeffery, as I said in an earlier post, I've been married nearly
35 years, & I still think I'm the luckiest woman in the world on so
many different levels. He has disabilities I help him with, but more
than that we're just compatible, so it all works out quite well. I
never asked him for help, he was just curious what I'd gotten myself
for a Mom's day present, then he asked if I'd completed the assembly
yet, &, when I told him what I had to do, he just said, "I can help
w/that.", so I let him. I am very fortunate indeed.

And while I heatsinked my Pis unassisted, I'm actually a bit jealous
that you have access to a sighted assistant who's actually
competent... I have a couple of sighted housemates, but most of the
time, I feel like explaining to them what I need sufficiently that
they can actually help is more trouble than it's worth... and even for
the things I don't feel like I need to throw a tutorial at them,
they're almost never available when I need them, and one of them has a
temper that discourages one from asking them for anything unless
you're sure they're in a good mood or it's something time-critical.
Someone you can actually depend on when you need help is a valueable
resource, and one I often feel the lack of stronger than my lost
vision. Tresure it.
