Hello Peter and all folks...
New Scientist journal, 4 August 2018, This Week article....
With a camera to view the world in front, and some controllable magnification
by software, it states that people with mac.degradation and a degree of
remaining sight can benefit greatly, whereby the blocked-out area of scene
can be imaged on to a working area of the retina.
The developers use a head mounted VR rig with a camera clipped into it.
Methinks that this could be better accomplished with much lighter, and
cheaper, smart glasses such as the Vuzix 800, or with the Raspberry-Pi
processor.
Anyone willing to comment on whether an emulation is feasible?
