I don't use Ubuntu (I hear a sharp intake of breath from a bdisbelieving
public). I use Debian because I despise the Unity desktop and anyway
Ubuntu is too bloated for my old laptops. And yes I know there is
Ubuntu Mate but Ubuntu is just too pedestrian for me.
I too am very close to slinging Linux away on my laptops and going back
to Windows because I am sick of everything "nearly" working but not quite.

You just want to find the strong signal of a cafe wifi and connect.
Any ideas?
