So many names, so little time …..
Brassie, these have kicked open the floodgates on NAMING CARL ….
The other day on the Golf Course (imagine that), sHank and I and Shaft were
doing some "What if" names should Carl's nomination be approved. One we did
come up with was, due in part to his Scuba Diving Proficiency and his nearly
OBSESSIVE Propensity to search for lost golf balls in bodies of water, was FROG
MAN
That being said, I also really like Hook, Hooker and Gaffer (Gaffer of course
being the Scottish pronunciation of Golfer as well as being the most junior
loser on fishing boats who has to Gaff the onboarding fish catch)
I have informed Carl of his "successful" selection as the newest member of
SOGAGG … and the great pride and uniqueness he should be feeling at this point.
But nothing heard, crickets, I think he has left town, changed his name, is
safely hiding in some nuclear waste dump in North Korea
Once he publicly acknowledges his selection, I will obtain and forward shirt
size to Ace and ascertain the first upcoming SOGAGG event that he will be
attending so that the proper presentation of said shirts and hats can be made.
Somebody will need to contact Carl to tell him about our SECRET and EFFICIENT
use of freelists.org

Whereas there being 19 yea’s and no nay’s, it is therefore the will of this
body that Carl Robbins stands approved for membership in the Society of Golfers
Against Good Golf. May God have mercy upon his soul…
WOXOF, as his sponsor, please do the honors in informing Carl of his devalued
status amongst the community along with obtaining his required shirt size so I
can place the order.
Action items for all hands: Carl’s nickname: As tradition dictates, an
incoming member is not allowed to either pick or influence the moniker that he
or she will be required to bear throughout their tortuous existence within
these ranks of hapless and wayward golfing wannabes. Golf-related call signs
are always appreciated as are those words or phrases that highlight the
individual’s shortcomings and/or trials and tribulations witnessed before,
during or after our outings. I ask for your inputs soonest and once we’ve
arrived at a consensus, I will arrange for the shirt(s).
