Radnor Lake State Natural Area
Nashville-Davidson Co, TN
14 April 2011
I took a walk on the ridges at first light this morning and encountered a
few birds not present at yesterday's NTOS walk. On my way up the
newly opened South Cove Trail, I heard my first singing WOOD THRUSH for the
year. What a nice start to my walk. Later, on my way up Ganier Ridge, I
heard and saw a SCARLET TANAGER singing in a bare tree, again a first this
year for me. Coming back down the ridge, I heard the staccato song of my
first TENNESSEE WARBLER. An OVENBIRD sang out nearby.
