Thanks to Ed Gleaves for the chance to see my life Am tree sparrow here in
Nashville on 1/30/09.  I came back the next morning to take some photos.  The
quality is not great as they were taken through a window.  The bird had some
white streaks in the tail, which I have not seen in any field guides.

This morning I have had the first American Tree Sparrow that I have seen in
14 years at this address near Radnor Lake in Nashville. It is enjoying mixed
seed on the ground along with the usual White-throats, Juncos, Cardinals,
House Finches. We also have Goldfinches and Pine Siskins in smaller numbers,
as well as the usual feeder birds.
