Andy Jones August 2014 headshot.jpg Andy Jones, who grew up with Tennessee birders while living at Kingsport and as an undergraduate student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, has been nominated for the office of Secretary of the American Ornithologists' Union. The nominating committee's slate will be voted on at the Annual meeting of the American Ornithologists' Union (132nd Stated Meeting), the Cooper Ornithological Society (84th Stated Meeting), and the Society of Canadian Ornithologists in late September in Colorado. He has served AOU as a recording secretary for several years. Many of you will remember Andy as an evening speaker at the joint state meeting of the Tennessee Ornithological Society and Virginia Society of Ornithology recently held in Johnson City.
