The golden-crowned manakin is one of the least known birds in the world - =

One reason it took so long to relocate is that the original discoverer
(Helmut Sick) listed it as being on a particular river but it seems there are
two rivers with the same name in that part of Brazil and everyone was looking
up the wrong one over the years. Great rediscovery anyhow for what ever time
it has left. " Hope IS a thing with feathers."
