Cumberland River overlook
Brookmeade Greenway
Nashville TN
July 25th I observed a Cedar Waxwing "flycatching" over the Cumberland River.
It was flying tight figure-eights up and down, over and back and was feeding
on what appeared to be white moths. There were many swifts and swallows
feeding along the river as well. Chimney Swifts, N. Rough-wing Swallows, Barn
Swallows, adults and immatures, Purple Martins, adults and imms..

Many Purple Martin immatures/juveniles were perched on limbs over the river
and next to the golf driving range adjacent to the greenway, begging away and
feeding on their own.

Brookemeade Greenway is in west Nashville behind the Wal-Mart off Charlotte
Rd.
