The Clarksville Christmas Bird Count was held last Saturday January 4, 2014
under cold, mostly sunny, and windy weather conditions. Temperatures ranged
from 25 degrees F at the start to a high of 46, and winds increased from 9 mph
at the start to 20 mph during late morning/early afternoon (gusting to 30).
Twenty three field counters in 7 parties (and 3 feeder counters) observed a
total of 78 species; 2 count week species (Red-breasted Merganser & Barn Owl)
were also observed. This count ties the second highest Clarksville count.
