The Highway 25/70 bridge across the French Broad in Cocke county officially
opened in the fall of 2010 and it already has 220 cliff swallow nests tucked
under the overhang. Modern concrete bridges are ideal for siting those clay
jugs. Have we reached the point where cliff swallows should be renamed bridge
swallows?
