Just saw on E-Bulletin that a Common Scoter was seen in California.
This would be a first NA record (split from Black Scoter)
ID apparently not in question
Range: NE Iceland to Siberia
Wonder if the committee who turned down Hooded Crane will accept this record
from the "wrong" side of the US???
