Carol et al.:

According to the Birds of North America account for Yellow-billed =
Cuckoo,
which represents the most current and comprehensive knowledge about the
species, there is very little information about the mating system of =
this
species. Therefore, it is difficult to say whether they mate for life. I
suspect they do not, seeing as most songbirds do not mate for life. One
factor that can play a role in whether pairs stick together for more =
than
one breeding season is whether or not they were successful in raising =
young.
A female is more likely to return to a male if they successfully raised
young to fledging the previous year, but that is not an absolute rule.
