Shelby Co, TN

The Memphis hybrid nests have produced the following Mix; the hybrid
Scissor-tail/Western female on President's Island successfully raised 4 all by
herself after Mr. Scissor-tail left for a female Scissor-tail down the road.
This
Scissor-tail pair was photographed this weekend busily feeding 4 young in
their nest. The two hybrid Scissor-tail/Western females in north Memphis are
feeding at least 6 young, 4 from one pair photographed being fed by both
adults.
The second hybrid female was seen feeding 2 young in a restricted area too
far away for a complete inventory of her fledglings.

The Western Kingbird nests at Ensley and at least two others in south
Memphis hatched young over the last few days but the young were too small and
hidden to be counted. At least 3 of the four Western Kingbird pairs at another
north Memphis location are feeding young.

Good Birding !!!
