Following this morning's walk on Sharp's Ridge Betty Reid and Jim Campbell and I birded around Norris Dam area and Eagle Bend Fish Hatchery which is near Clinton. The highlight was the willet seen at Eagle Bend. The bird's plumage was slightly darker than we see in winter. Other birds around the hatchery were spotted sandpipers, least sandpipers, green herons, killdeer, canada geese (nesting), mallards, and tree swallows, purple martin and rough-wing swallows. Great blue herons were sitting on nest along the river.
