Saturday afternoon, March 17, I was making a brief glider flight for proficiency from Knoxville Downtown Island Airport when my tow pilot said he saw two eagles. I released from the tow rope and circled back over Sarah Moore Greene Elementary School. The adult Bald Eagles were there, right off my left wingtip! They didn't seem disturbed by my 50-foot wingspan, and stayed around and above me as I circled 5 or 6 times, sometimes playing with each other, before cruising off to the northeast, towards House Mountain.
