Rankin Bottoms, Cocke county, 3/18/12, 2-5pm, by car & on foot
Douglas Lake elevation: 963 ft.; well below Rankin, but the bottoms are 
flooding from wet-weather springs.  Best birding was past the TWRA gate.

Great blue heron (11 nests south of Rankin Bridge)

Bonaparte's gull 
Ring-billed gull (9)
Tree swallow
Cliff swallow (6-FOS, at Rankin Bridge)
Palm warbler
